Future Plan

Current plans build on these earlier efforts. Following is a list of short term goals and activities geared toward addressing accessibility of new and existing information technologies.

Upload Volunteer Product Accessibility Templates (VPAT) into centralized repository to reduce duplication of reviews and resources.

April 2018

Published informational website on IT Accessibility Procurement Process.

January 2017

IT Accessibility Services will continue to enhance the website to make content more complete, easier for users to find information, create and post more "how to" pages and videos.

August 2017

The EIR Accessibility taskgroup will explore options to (1) promote training opportunities, (2) foster ongoing discussion about accessible website design and instructional materials, procedure and practice, (3) research incorporating Web Accessibility into its HTML courses, (4) collaborate with academic departments such as Computer Science to provide solutions in mobile computing, and Web Accessibility.

September 2017

Develop procedures/processes for multiple operations and stakeholders groups (e.g., online instructors, academic departments, business departments).
