Are you considering SOAKing UP SOME SUMMER CLASSES?  If so, Residential Living and Learning has a new option for you.

Good Student Summer Housing Rebate!
Residential Living and Learning wants to support our students who show a commitment to their academic pursuits. The Good Student Rebate will provide a $450 rebate per summer session for students living in Smith  Hall who fulfill the criteria listed.

To be eligible for the Good Student Housing Rebate, a student must meet the following criteria:

  • Enroll and complete three (3) credit hours per summer term
  • Earn a minimum of a 2.0 GPA for undergraduates and a 3.0 GPA for graduate students each summer term
  • Reside in Smith Hall and have a $300 FLEX Sodexo meal plan during the summer term
I want to take advantage of the Good Student Housing Rebate, how does it work?

Step 1: Complete the Summer Housing Application

  • When completing the summer housing application, preference a private room in Smith Hall. Smith Hall has limited space and assignments will be granted in order of application completion.
  • Complete the meal plan contract for $300 FLEX

Step 2: Take care of business

  • The $450 Smith Hall charge and $300 FLEX charge will be placed on your student account prior to each summer session
  • Students can work with Student Accounts about payment options

Step 3: Be a good student

  • Enroll in at least 3 hours
  • Go to Class
  • Earn at least a 2.0 GPA (undergrads) or a 3.0 GPA (graduates)

Step 4: Reap the Rewards

  • After each session, RLL will check GPA & Enrollment for each Smith resident
Students who meet the criteria will receive the $450 rebate within 3 business days after grades have posted.

Additional Summer Housing Options

  • Students who are not eligible for the rebate, but want the option of a traditional hall experience and the meal plan, may sign-up for a single room in Smith Hall.
    • Single Room:  $450 per summer term
    • Summer Meal Plan:  $300 per summer term
  • New Pride Apartments are available for students who desire to have full kitchens and cook for themselves.  All they need to bring are cooking utensils and food. The Housing Rebate does not apply in this area.
    • 4-Bedroom/2-Bathroom:  $695 per summer term
    • 2-Bedroom/2-Bathroom:  $785 per summer term
  • West Hall Apartments are available for students who desire to have full kitchens and cook for themselves with some limited availability for those who qualify for family housing. The Housing Rebate does not apply in this area.
    • 2-Bedroom/1-Bathroom (general student):  $575 per summer term
    • 2-Bedroom/1-Bathroom (family/married student):  $740 per summer term
