Faculty & Student Support
State funds provide basic salaries for faculty but only private support allows Texas A&M University-Commerce to recruit and recognize its most deserving faculty. A key goal of the university's Securing the Promise Campaign is to have endowed faculty positions. Other goals include providing the resources and facilities that will allow faculty to lead the way in developing the highest quality learning environment in the classroom and laboratory. These endowments help fund salary stipends, special classroom projects, equipment, professional development, and research initiatives. Most donors designate their endowed chairs and professorships for specific colleges or departments.
