A&Mâ??Commerce Partners with TVCC to Ease Transfer Process
By: Stephanie Garrett
COMMERCE, TX - Texas A&M University - Commerce signed an articulation and transfer agreement with Trinity Valley Community College (TVCC) April 5 that will ease the transfer process from TVCC to A&M - Commerce.
The agreement will allow both institutions to create an easier transfer process, support concurrent enrollment, and assist students in completing their degree. The agreement generally outlines the details of the partnership including transfer planning and course equivalency guides, shared databases and recruiting efforts, coordination of financial aid opportunities.
The agreement acknowledges that transferring is often a complex process involving co-enrollment, distance learning, and multiple course transfer and articulation of credits. This partnership will ease the laborious process.
A&M - Commerce and TVCC will mutually benefit from the agreement. TVCC has agreed to widely publicize visits from A&M - Commerce recruiters, and in turn, A&M - Commerce has agreed to encourage enrollment into TVCC for those who are not accepted to A&M - Commerce.
