A&M-Commerce Mourns Death of Student
By Kim WilliamsCommerce, TEXAS (Feb. 15, 2012)—Texas A&M University-Commerce is mourning the loss of Rajesh Puli, an A&M-Commerce student who died Monday, Feb. 13, in an automobile accident near Groveton, Texas.
"The entire A&M-Commerce community is devastated to learn of the loss of one of our own," said President Dan R. Jones, Ph.D. "Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family, friends, and fellow students at this saddest of times."
The university flag flew at half staff Wednesday, Feb. 15, in memory of Puli, and a memorial service and candlelight vigil was held Wednesday evening.
"Our thoughts and prayers are with the family of Rajesh during this very difficult time," said John Mark Jones, director of international student services. "Rajesh will be missed by his friends and the A&M-Commerce community."
