Assault Reported on Campus

Commerce, TEXAS (March 8, 2011)—On March 8, a female student at Texas A&M University-Commerce reported being sexually assaulted at 10:30 p.m. on March 1 by an unknown male according to the University Police Department.

The assault reportedly occurred at the West Halls on campus. According to the police report, the assailant is a 6’ tall male, and was wearing a green hooded sweatshirt at the time of the attack.

UPD encourages students to take extra precautions walking through campus at night, to travel in pairs and report any suspicious behavior.
