Statewide Grant Program for STEM Majors

COMMERCE, TX – The Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board is offering a one-time grant program for summer 2011. The statewide program will grant 2,000 awards to students with financial need with preference given to those pursuing degrees in science, technology, engineering and mathematics.

Students must be enrolled full-time in a public or private community college or university, and have completed 60 hours toward a degree. Only Texas residents who are U.S. citizens or permanent residents are eligible, and students must have received a federal Pell Grant in the 2010-2011 year.
