WELCOME...

and thank you for your interest in Texas A&M University-Commerce.  Your consideration of the College of Business (CoB) comes at a particularly exciting time with all of our recent successes and preparation for the future.  Whether your interest is in undergraduate education in Accounting, Business Analytics, Finance, General Business, Management, or Marketing, or graduate education in Accounting, Business Administration, Business Analytics, Finance, Management, or Marketing, we have a quality program that will meet your needs.  We intend to educate our students to make positive organizational and societal contributions.  As a result, we strive to facilitate the development of critical thinking skills and the applied business skills needed to accomplish organizational goals in an ethical and responsible manner.  As a student at the CoB, we believe you will acquire the experience, skills, and perspectives necessary to succeed in a dynamic business environment.

We are immensely proud of our faculty, our students, our alumni and our business partners.  We are committed to teaching excellence in the creation and dissemination of knowledge.  Our faculty spends time getting to know you individually to ensure your professional development and academic achievement.  Not only do faculty members produce cutting-edge research, they also offer substantial real-world business experience and an active learning environment.  In the classroom, real organizational problems are dissected and debated, often with actual managers involved.  Faculty members are vitally interested in transforming students with effective classroom instruction, contact that is personal and professional, and ongoing discussions focused on students' career aspirations.

At the CoB, students are prepared for their careers by stressing excellence in all they do.  One visible indication of business education excellence is our accreditation by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), the gold standard of business accreditation, achieved by only 5% of business schools in the world.  To become accredited, a business school must go through an extensive application process involving rigorous self-evaluations, peer-reviews, committee-reviews, and in-depth strategic planning.  AACSB accreditation standards challenge business schools to pursue excellence and continuous improvement throughout their programs, and the achievement of AACSB accreditation by the TAMU-C College of Business is one clear sign of the quality of our business programs.

The CoB at TAMU-C has the faculty, staff, programs and educational excellence required to prepare our students to achieve their personal and professional goals.  Our graduates are conscientious, career-ready business professionals who possess the tools they need to succeed in today's global marketplace.
