Faculty, staff, and students are invited to attend.

The fifth in a series of distinguished speakers is Mr. Lucas Pittman.

Mr. Pittman develops and manages information products that provide research and insight into the Upstream Oil & Gas industry. He has spent the last 9 years performing fixed income analysis, valuation, consulting, database management, and product development with John S. Herold, IHS, GlobalData, and RigData. Mr. Pittman is a 2004 graduate of Texas A&M University - Commerce (B.S. Economics) and a 2008 graduate of The University of Texas at Tyler (MBA).

He will be speaking about his personal career path, potential career strategies for students, and major trends in the oil & gas industry.

The Distinguished Speaker Series: Beyond the Classroom is presented by the Economics and Finance Society and the Economics & Finance Department. Throughout the year, the society hosts several prominent business and financial professionals. Each individual discusses his or her career path, potential career strategies for our students, and major trends in his or her industries.

This is a great opportunity for students to see what options there are in the business industry, particularly with a finance degree, after graduation. Additionally, this is a great event to network with prominent leaders and potential employers.
