Zaidy MohdZain, PhD., is a Professor and Head of Department of Counseling at Texas A&M University – Commerce. He earned his PhD. Degree in Counselor Education and Supervision from Kent State University in Ohio. He has two master’s degrees from the University of Illinois at Springfield; and a bachelor degree from Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo.

His first joined Delta State University in Cleveland, Mississippi after finishing his doctoral study. After that he served Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau and later Southern Arkansas University in Magnolia before joining TAMUC.

He is a member of the editorial board of the Family Journal: Counseling and Therapy for Couples and Families, published by the International Association of Marriage and Family Counselors; the Journal for International Counselor Education, published by University of Nevada, Las Vegas; the Journal of Counseling, published by the Association of Psychological and Educational Counselors of Asia Pacific (APECA); the Journal of Interdisciplinary Research in Education (JIRE). the Asian Pacific Journal of Educators and Education. An academic journal published quarterly by the Universiti Sains Malaysia Press, Center for Educational Studies.
