2017 Call for Presentation Proposals

Please consider lending your expertise to the 13th Annual Bill Martin Jr Symposium by being a presenter for a 50 minute break-out session. Presenters can also select a roundtable session which is 20 minutes. Topics appropriate for this conference range from sessions on children’s and adolescent literature, pedagogy, classroom management, technology, math, science, social studies, reading, and writing to specialty areas (Special Education, English Language Learners, or Gifted & Talented). We encourage sessions targeted for specific grade levels such as EC-6, 4-8, or secondary. We welcome proposals that honor the legacy of Bill Martin Jr, which allows children to experience the wonder of language through reading books.

Proposals may be submitted from January 23rd through March 20th through our online proposal website: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1IRKsIqiicN427kEwIpAedkihU_2cHWBx1ogeXtl8Z6U/viewform

Presenters will receive acceptance notifications by April 3rd. All Presenters will be required to register at the reduced presenter rate of $30.

For questions or comments about proposals and presentations, please contact Tami Morton at Tami.Morton@tamuc.edu or 972-951-2258.
