3. Cognate and Elective Area (30-36 sh): Masters degrees may be approved to satisfy the Cognate and Elective area. If a Master’s degree is not approved to meet this requirement, a minimum of 30 semester hours of additional graduate coursework in an approved area is required to meet the 72 semester credit hour minimum.
