Blair Daiker

Blair Daiker, MSN/MHA, RN, CCRN began his career in healthcare in 1979 as a hospital orderly in Easton, MD. He attained a diploma in Practical Nursing in 1982 from the Eastern Shore Hospital Center School of Practical Nursing in Cambridge, MD, his Associate in Arts in Nursing degree in 1985 from Wor-Wic Tech Community College in Salisbury, MD, and his Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree in 2006 and Master of Science in Nursing and Health Administration degree in 2009 from the University of Phoenix in Phoenix, AZ.

Professor Daiker has experience in medical-surgical, geriatric, critical care, home health, hospice, and occupational health nursing in both practice and leadership roles. He has maintained national certification in Acute/Critical Care Nursing of the Adult for over 10 years. He enjoys spending time with family and friends, loves dogs and reading and traveling. He combined his desire to travel with his Nursing and worked as a traveling/contract nurse for four years which is how, in 1989, he discovered Texas. He has lived and worked in Corpus Christi, San Antonio, Paris/Reno, and now Commerce. Professor Daiker taught Vocational Nursing for one year and Professional Nursing for nine years at Paris Junior College before coming to Texas A&M University-Commerce in August 2018.
