Kimberly Parks

Kimberly Parks MSN, RN, CNM began her career in healthcare as a Medical Assistant in 1986. She then pursued a career in nursing, graduating from Baylor University in 1992 with her Bachelor's of Science in Nursing. Her first area of interest was Neonatal Intensive Care at Parkland Memorial Hospital, Dallas, Texas, then at Hunt Regional Medical Center, Greenville, Texas in Newborn Nursery, NNICU, Postpartum/Gynecology, and Labor and Delivery, and St. Joseph's Medical Center in Bryan, Texas in Newborn Nursery and NNICU. She also served as a W.I.C Director for Hunt, Fannin, and Rockwall Counties for 1 year. While employed at Hunt Regional, she served on the Ethics Committee and Nursing Peer Review Committee. She was also awarded the Nurse of the Year Award in 2001. She has taught Neonatal Resuscitation, developed the Newborn Hearing Screen Program at Hunt Regional, and is a member of Texas Nurse Practitioner's Association and Sigma Theta Tau International Nursing Honor Society Iota Nu Chapter at Large.  

After serving as Shift Manager in the Women's Center for 12 years, she returned to Frontier School of Midwifery and Family Nursing in Hyden, Kentucky and obtained her Master's of Science in Nursing with a Certificate in Midwifery in 2009. Her practice was extremely busy, full-scope Midwifery and Women's Health for 4 physicians in Greenville, Texas attending approximately 15-30 births each month at Hunt Regional Medical Center. 

Mrs. Parks was born and raised, as well as birthed and raised 5 children and 4 step-children in Greenville, Texas. She joined the faculty of Texas A&M University- Commerce Nursing in June 2015 to pursue a desire to teach and grow new Registered Nurses for our communities.
