Is Nursing Your Future?

Nursing is both an art and a science, requiring compassion and caring as well as broad scientific knowledge. The Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program is designed to enable students to integrate scientific knowledge from theory and research, high level skills, and concepts of leadership into the care of individuals, families, and groups. Professional nurses promote quality of life from birth to death. Being a nurse offers the opportunity to help others and make a difference in their lives.
BSN graduates meet the educational requirements of the Texas Board of Nursing to take the licensure examination to become Registered Nurses. The BSN program also provides a foundation for graduate study.
