Dr. Sam Bore

Dr. Samuel K. Bore joined the faculty in 2008.  He is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas.  Before joining the faculty, Dr. Bore was a school counselor for eight years and his clinical background includes work with children, adolescents, and families.  Dr. Bore has extensive group work experience with adolescents and parents.  Dr. Bore’s primary research interest include group work in schools, self-injury among adolescents, school counselors’ leadership role in schools, and multicultural and diversity issues.  He has served in the editorial board for the TCA’s Journal of Professional Counseling: Practice, Theory, and Research from 2012. In the department, Dr. Bore teaches the school counseling courses, clinical courses, multicultural and diversity, and statistics.
