Scholarships

The Department of Psychology and Special Education has the following nine scholarships awarded for summer or fall semester.  Click here to download our Special Education Scholarship Application form. Available Scholarships:

             Dorothy Louise Fullwood Scholarship - A scholarship of $500 is available for a Generic Special Education student.  Students must be Junior or Senior standing and meet all criteria for admission into the A&M-Commerce College of Education Teacher Education programs.  Demonstration of an above average academic record is required.

            Della Pepper Jeter Scholarship - A scholarship of $500 is available for a Junior or Senior level Generic Special Education student or a full-time graduate student majoring in Special Education.  Students must meet all criteria for admission to the A&M-Commerce College of Education Teacher Education programs and/or the Graduate School. Demonstration of an above average academic record is required.

            John and Betty Moss Scholarship - A scholarship of $300 is available for a Junior or Senior level Generic Special Education student or a full-time graduate student majoring in Special Education.  Students must meet all criteria for admission into the A&M-Commerce College of Education Teacher Education programs.  Demonstration of an above average academic record is required.

            J. E. Franklin Scholarship - A scholarship of $300 is available for an upper-level student, including undergraduate (Junior and Senior) and graduate level psychology students.  Demonstration of an above average academic record is required.

            Lee Ray Stroh Scholarship - A scholarship of $500 per academic year is available for undergraduate Junior and Senior level, American born, psychology students.  Demonstration of an above average academic record is required.

            Mr. and Mrs. J. T. Taylor Scholarship - A $300 scholarship is available for a student seeking a graduate-level degree in Psychology or Special Education.  Demonstration of an above average academic record is required.

             Joseph Wayne Yarbrough Scholarship - A scholarship of $500 is available for undergraduate psychology students.  Demonstration of an above average record is required.

             Scott Choate Endowed Scholarship - A scholarship of $1000.00 or more is available for a graduate student seeking a graduate-level degree in Special Education with an academic concentration in Drama and Education.  Demonstration of an above average academic record is required.

             Gallagher Family Scholarship - A scholarship of $500 is available for Junior or Senior level undergraduate students with a degree plan leading to special education certification or practicing teachers who are returning for special education certification.
