Undergraduate Minor in Social Welfare

Why minor in Social Welfare?

Are you considering a career in one of the helping professions, such as Counseling, Psychology, or Criminal Justice? Do you have an interest in Sociology, Political Science or Communications? Are you majoring in an unrelated field, but have an interest in understanding public welfare, diversity and social issues? Do you want to pursue a career in Social Work, but aren't sure if it's for you? If you answered "yes" to any of these questions, a minor in Social Welfare may be precisely the solution.

The undergraduate minor in Social Welfare is an eighteen (18) credit hour minor for those majoring in related disciplines and hope to work in healthcare or human-service professions.  Please contact the School of Social Work if you are interested.
