Field Based Teacher Certification Program
Upon deciding that you wish to pursue a teaching certificate as you earn your bachelor's degree, you will need to:
Meet with an advisor to prepare your degree evaluation. If you wish to earn a certificate in Early Childhood - 6th Grade, you may consult an advisor in the Department of Curriculum and Instruction. If you wish to earn a certificate in 4th - 8th Grade Math, Science, Math/Science, or 4th - 8th English Language Arts and Reading you may consult an advisor in the Department of Curriculum and Instruction. If you wish to earn a certificate in 4th - 8th Social Studies, 8-12th Grade content areas or All Level content areas, you must consult the corresponding academic department.
Your degree evaluation will indicate the coursework necessary to meet your degree and certification requirements. Keep a copy for your records.
