M. Knight, Jr. received his Masters of Fine Arts in Theatre Design from The University of Mississippi and his Bachelor of Science in Theatre from Texas A&M University- Commerce. He has served as the Technical Director for the Renaissance Center in Dickson, TN and as the Asst. Production Manager for the Amarillo Civic Center. Having designed lights for numerous theatre productions as well as live and filmed concerts, he has had the opportunity to work with a variety of talents including John Kay and Friends of Steppenwolf, Andy Cooney, Pam Tillis and The Chinese Arts Alliance of Nashville. Currently Michael is an Asst. Professor of Theatre Design and Technology at Texas A&M University- Commerce, where he teaches courses in lighting design, scenic design, properties design, and scenic painting.
