Bill and Ann Stokes Theatre Scholarship

  • Two or more scholarships awarded annually
  • Level of Standing:  Current or entering undergraduate or graduate students
  • Minimum Requirements: Chosen by theatre faculty based on grade point average, letter of interest, dedication and contribution to the theatre program (or, in the case of new students, potential for artistic achievement).

Hoyle and Ann Julian Oglesby Theater Scholarship

  • Multiple scholarships awarded annually
  • Level of Standing:  Current or entering undergraduate or graduate student majoring in Theatre
  • Minimum Requirements: Chosen by theatre faculty based on grade point average, merit, dedication and contribution to the theatre program.

Kay L. Coughenour Offstage/Backstage Award

  • 1 annually
  • Level of Standing: Current Undergraduate Student majoring in Theatre with a concentration in technical/design theatre
  • Minimum Requirements: Chosen by theatre faculty based on grade point average, merit, dedication and contribution to the theatre program.

Janet Farr Swart Playwriting Endowed Scholarship

  • 1 annually
  • Level of Standing: Current undergraduate and graduate students majoring in Theatre who demonstrate outstanding playwriting and scriptwriting ability and potential
  • Minimum Requirements: Chosen by theatre faculty based on grade point average, merit, dedication and contribution to the theatre program.

Dr. John Hanners Memorial Acting Scholarship

  • 1 annually
  • Level of Standing: Entering undergraduate students majoring in Theatre with an emphasis in Acting/Directing
  • Minimum Requirements: Chosen by theatre faculty based on acting audition (with Dr. Carrie Klypchak), grade point average, merit, potential for artistic achievement, dedication, and contribution to the theatre program.

Heath Davis ACT Memorial Scholarship

  • Two or more scholarships awarded
  • Level of Standing: Current undergraduate and graduate students majoring in Theatre participating in Advanced Collaborative Theatre
  • Minimum Requirements: Chosen by theatre faculty based on grade point average, merit, dedication and contribution to the theatre program.

Theatre  Non-Scholarship Awards

Outstanding Student in Theatre Undergraduate Studies

  • Level of Standing: Current undergraduate students
  • Minimum Requirements: Nominated by and chosen by theatre faculty based on grade point average, merit, dedication and contribution to the theatre program.
  • Renewable:  Yes

Outstanding Student in Graduate Theatre Studies

  • Level of Standing: Current graduate students
  • Minimum Requirements: Nominated by and chosen by theatre faculty based on grade point average, merit, dedication and contribution to the theatre program.
  • Renewable:  Yes
