Accounting Master's (MSA-ACCT)

The MSA is designed for those who want to specialize in accounting at the graduate level.  It is suitable for those who want to continue on from their undergraduate accounting major and for those who have a lesser, or no, accounting background.  Students in the latter group are required to complete two prerequisites when entering the program.  The MSA is an excellent preparation for students planning on a career in public accounting, industry or government.

Business Administration Master's (MBA-BA)

The Master of Business Administration degree prepares the graduate student for advanced management positions that demand analytical and strategic leadership solutions to an interrelated set of economic, ethical, and environmental issues. The program is 30-48 hours.  Minors are available.

Business Analytics Master's (MS-BUSA)

The Department of Marketing and Business Analytics is offering the Master of Business Analytics which will prepare students to identify solutions hidden in big data and apply these findings to real-world business challenges.  These students are data analysts providing their organizations with ideas for smarter strategic management and better operational efficiencies.

Finance Master's (MSF-FIN)

This Program provides a platform for the students to develop as financial economic experts who can spot opportunities, assess risks and ask critical financial questions.

Marketing Master's (MS-MKT)

The Master of Science in Marketing program offers students from business and non-business backgrounds an opportunity to develop expertise in the art and science of business marketing.

Management Master's (MS-MGT)

The Master of Science in Management is a specialized program of study ideally suited for individuals seeking an educational experience with coursework concentrated in leadership dynamics and/or human resources management. Either the general option or an Information Technology option is available for this program.

Required Documents for Admission

  • Apply Texas Application
  • Application fee:  $50 domestic student 
  • All official transcripts - Bachelor's degree, including all transcripts used towards bachelor's degree.  Any master's degree transcript or transcripts with graduate coursework (if applicable).
  • GMAT/General Test GRE official test scores or 3.0 overall undergraduate GPA (3.25 on the last 60 hours of coursework toward the bachelor’s degree); or completion of a graduate degree from an accredited institution in an area of study approved by the department; or passing score on all parts of the Uniform Certified Public Accountant Exam.
  • One (1) Letter of Recommendation

Additional Admission Consideration Requirements for International Students Only

  • Application fee, $75.00, US dollars (this may be paid online when you apply)
  • Bank Statement from the sponsor, must reflect a balance of at least $26,024.82 USD (must be less than 1 year old)
  • Official sponsor statement
  • Official transcripts (with a copy of the provisional certificate or diploma)

  • English Proficiency:

    • Official TOEFL (IBT at least 79, or CBT at least 213, or PBT at least 550), scores must be less than 2 years old, or
    • Official IELTS (at least overall 6.00 band), scores must be less than 2 years old, or
    • Official PTE (at least overall 53 or higher), scores must be less than 2 years old, or
    • Completion (all years) of a bachelor's degree or higher degree from a U.S. regionally accredited university.

Fall admission consideration:          June 1

Spring admission consideration:     October 15

Summer admission consideration:  March 15
