Preparing Students for an Interconnected World

The Texas A&M University-Commerce Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) is focused on preparing students for an interconnected world. The QEP is a required element of the university's accreditation through the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC).

To help the university measure our progress in this area,  all travelling students are required to complete the Global Competence Aptitude Assessment (GCAA) before they travel and upon their return. The GCAA captures an individual’s scores in eight areas related to Global Competence.  The assessment presents a unique opportunity  to evaluate and strengthen the learning experiences of our traveling  students.

Once you have committed to travelling, please contact the QEP office to schedule pre and post assessments immediately.  It is always advised to not wait until the last minute to complete the assessment. This assessment is a critical component of our QEP, and we appreciate your help in ongoing efforts to help our students to be prepared for an interconnected world.

If you would like more information about the QEP and the GCAA, please visit: www.tamuc.edu/qep.
