Weather-Related and University Closings

The Testing Center at Texas A&M University-Commerce is open during regular business hours, Monday-Friday from 8am to 5pm. However, in some instances, the Testing Center may be closed; these instances include official university closings and weather-related closings.

University Closings

The Testing Center is open year round except for specified Saturday testing dates and the holidays and closings observed by the University which can be found here. The Testing Center will not be able to schedule tests on the days listed on the official University calendar.

Weather-Related Closings

In the event of inclement weather, the Testing Center's hours of operation are dependent upon and are subject to change according to University announcements regarding closings. Information about weather-related closings can be monitored on the University's home page and should be actively checked by testers after office hours.

If the University (Commerce campus) is closed, the Testing Center will also be closed. Testers scheduled for appointments on a day affected by weather-related or unexpected closings will not be penalized by the Testing Center and will be rescheduled at their earliest convenience.

Testers taking certification exams such as the TExES or CASTLE should contact their respective testing agencies to discuss rescheduling possibilities. If the Testing Center is unable to test you due to weather-related closing on the University's behalf, your testing agency should be able to work with you. If you miss your appointment due to bad weather in your area, but the Testing Center is unaffected and does not close, your testing agency may not be able to work with you.

If the University is not closed, candidates are expected to arrive safely and on time to their exam. Candidates arriving late, regardless of weather conditions, will not be admitted.
