Yes. There is a $125 Student Orientation Fee (for Freshmen) and a $100 Student Orientation Fee (for Transfer students) that is charged to cover the cost of facilities, meals, staff, and other administrative costs. This fee does not have to be paid upfront in order to make a reservation. This fee will be added to the student's account after attending New Student Orientation. If the student receives financial aid, scholarships, or other financial assistance, these may be used to cover the Orientation Fee, otherwise the fee will be part of any out of pocket expenses.
There is also a $35 Parent & Guest Orientation Fee that is charged per guest to cover the cost of facilities, meals, staff, and other administrative costs. This fee needs to be paid in advance via our Orientation Marketplace Store. Please note, there are no overnight accommodations provided for parents & guests; these arrangements will need to be made on their own.
When making a reservation for New Student Orientation, the reservation system will include a payment screen. However, we are unable to accept payments through this system. The Student Orientation Fee will be charged directly to the student's account and the Parent & Guest Orientation Fee is due in advance through the Orientation Marketplace Store.
Incoming transfer students are required to attend the second day of a New Student Orientation session. These dates are listed on the Transfer Orientation page. As a transfer student, you have the option of attending the first day as well. If desired, please indicate this on your New Student Orientation reservation by clicking the "overnight accommodations" option when selecting your session.
Freshmen students are required to participate in the overnight stay during New Student Orientation. Housing accommodations are provided to all students and are covered by your Orientation Fee. Students be assigned a room in Phase II Residence Hall with other incoming new students. Please note, this is not your permanent room assignment for the Fall semester.
There are no overnight accommodations provided for parents & guests; these arrangements will need to be made on their own.
