The best way to learn about A&M-Commerce is to visit campus. Enjoy exploring out spectacular facilities, meet our students and learn about the numerous opportunities that are waiting just for you one our campus. Experience the vibrant life of our campus community, including more than 100 student organizations, 11 intercollegiate sports teams, an award-winning campus newspaper, and an active Greek system.

We’re located in the quaint college town of Commerce, Texas, about an hour’s drive northeast of Dallas. It’s the perfect environment to learn, make friends, take on academic challenges, and build relationships with world-class professors who not only spend time with you in class, but make themselves available after class. Our informal, small-town atmosphere creates a close-knit community of students, faculty, and staff.

Tour Opportunities

Schedule a campus tour with our Lion Student Ambassadors for a firsthand look at campus.  Our weekday tours start promptly at 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. Monday – Friday and last about 1 hour. You can view the available dates and times by viewing our visit calendar. Please make reservations at least two days in advance.  A confirmation email will be sent the following business day with additional details including directions, parking, and how to contact the academic department of your choice.  

Please note that the campus tour is a walking tour. Prospective students or family members who require special mobility assistance should contact the Undergraduate Admissions Office after registering online at 903.886.5000. 

For the safety of our other guests, current students, and campus staff we do ask that all non-service pets are left at home. Please do not leave children or family members requiring special supervision unattended in the Office of Undergraduate Admissions.

Housing Tours

We invite you to join our Residential Living and Learning staff on a tour of several housing options.  After completing a campus tour at the One Stop Shop, we invite you to walk over to meet your RLL tour guide in the New Pride community center. While majority of our tour is a walking tour, we also encourage you to drive over to meet with us for easy access to view our residential options.  Our walking tour will include model rooms in West, Phase I, and Whitley Halls which is where most of our undergraduate residents are placed.  RLL Tours are only available Monday-Friday and  always begin at 11:45 a.m. or 3:45 p.m. during the fall and spring semesters meeting in the New Pride Community Center.  Our Saturday Tour Options do not include viewing of our on campus living options.  If you have any questions about viewing housing, please contact their offices directly at 903.886.5797 or you can visit the Residential Living and Learning webpage.

If you are candidate for our Honors College, Prairie Crossing is also available to  view.  While space is limited at Prairie Crossing, we encourage you to arrange your tour in advance with Ray Green at 903-468-3001(only for Honor College applicants).

No need to stress about missing school or work. Our Mane Event Preview Day is held on a Saturday in October and March of each year. It’s a free, activity-filled event designed for prospective students and their families. You’ll meet with faculty, admissions and financial aid counselors, residence life representatives, and student organizations.
