Cost of Attendance

As a part of the financial aid award process, students are assigned a Cost of Attendance budget.  This budget is comprised of five components (Tuition & Fees, Room & Board, Books & Supplies, Transportation, and Miscellaneous/Personal Expenses).  The value of these components is based on the average cost to attend A&M-Commerce.  When comparing schools, Cost of Attendance should always be a factor as this helps determine how far any financial aid will go towards meeting educational expenses at each school.

The Cost of Attendance determines the maximum financial aid a student qualifies to receive.  Keep in mind that the Cost of Attendance figures are based on averages.  If your student has educational expenses over the budgeted amount, the student may request an increase to their Cost of Attendance by providing documentation of their actual expenses and a Financial Aid Change Request Form which is available on our website under General Forms.  These requests are reviewed after the census day for the semester.
