Hispanic Outreach Scholars

The 2017-18 University Crossroads scholarship application is now available. Please follow the link below:

University Crossroads Scholarship Application

Students who are currently receiving one of the scholarships coordinated by our office such as the Stars on the Rise or the University Crossroads programs must complete academic progress reports, have meetings with the Hispanic Outreach and Retention staff, and community service.

An Office of Hispanic Outreach and Retention Scholarship recipient must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.0 each semester. The purpose of the academic progress report is to provide students with the opportunity to communicate with their professors to keep track of and receive feedback on their academic progress. Please work with your professor/instructor to complete this handout on a timely manner to meet the designated deadline.

The meeting with office staff ensures your academic success and offers a safe location for you to be able to voice any concerns that you might have. Community service is required of our scholars to promote engagement and networking with other university resources and departments.
