If all information is included your request will be added to the reservations list.  Calls will not be returned for reservations due to the large number of calls and our staff will be preparing for the evenings shows.

The tickets will be in the ticket office and can be purchased at that time, tickets are not sold in advance. All tickets must be picked up no later than 10 minutes prior to showtime. Any tickets not picked up 10 minutes before showtime will be sold to those waiting for any remaining tickets.

School Groups

Reservations can be made by e-mailing Dr. Davis or by calling our office, 903 468 8650.  School groups are scheduled according to specific needs and travel time; therefore we do not start all shows at the beginning of the hour.  Shows are scheduled for one hour, per show however the times vary with the show selctions. We require that the school representitives (preferably the teacher) make their own reservations so we may provide the best possible service.
The seating capacity of the planetarium is 87 and we are required to remain within those limits.  If your group is larger than 87 we can easily schedule multiple sessions for the same school or teacher.
Payment can be made via cash, check, or credit card; however we do ask the teacher to collect the full sum for the entire group and have one payment ready to expedite the check-in process.
Checks can be made payable to the "Planetarium". For security purposes, credit card payments are not processed over the phone. We provide receipts for all transactions.
Payment is due the day of the visit, an advance deposit is not required.
Ticket prices are the same for each member of the group including teachers, students, visiting parents, bus drivers, etc.
Teachers are responsible for granting parental permission/admission and remaining within the seating capacity.

Planetarium Policies

For the comfort and safety of all planetarium visitors, we ask that you comply with the following policies:

  • All cell phones must be turned off before entering the planetarium.  The phones can interfere with the wireless system used to run the program.
  • No food or drinks in the planetarium—this includes gum or candy.
  • After the doors are closed for the beginning of the program they will remain closed.  If there is a reason to leave the show while it is in progress, you will not be allowed to re-enter the planetarium. The light flooding the planetarium interrupts the viewing for all of the remaining guests as well as jeopardizing the safety of those moving in the darkened facility.
  • No late admission to the planetarium, once the show begins, the doors will remain closed for the comfort and safety of all visitors.
  • Due to construction, access from Hwy 24 is permanently closed. Please enter from either Culver or Neal Street, and use parking lots 16, 18, or 19 as noted on the campus map for parking.
  • Campus Map
  • We ask that bus drivers drop-off students at the planetarium drop-off and park in lot #19, it is the easiest for large vehicles to navigate. Do not park in lot #35.
  • All personal vehicles are required to display a parking pass for all visits other than Friday night public shows. Please print the completed form before coming to campus and display on the dash of the vehicle.  The form for the free parking pass can be found by clicking this link.
