Pre-Hire Set Up Form for Student Workers, RA's, Temps and Graduate Assistants

To help facilitate and expedite the hiring process for Student Workers, RA’s, Temps and Graduate Assistants, a Pre-Hire Set Up Form has been created.   This information is a prerequisite in order to initiate the required background check and complete the Pre-Hire process.  Before you can initiate the hiring process, you will be required to send the completed form to HR.documents@tamuc.edu . Once you have sent this to HR, you may proceed with the hiring process.

NOTE: Please keep in mind we need to follow proper security measures due to the information required. The form is secured when emailed within the university email system, however, this security does not expand to Gmail, yahoo, or other outside accounts. Please be vigilant when acquiring this information.

Minor Hiring Form

For any person who may be younger than 19, age should be verified by a certificate of Age from the Texas Workforce Commission, a Federal Certificate of Age from the U.S. Department of Labor, or other documentation acceptable to the employing institution’s or agency’s Human Resources Officer. A Minor’s Employment Release and age documentation must be maintained on any employee younger than 18.

The Texas A&M University System has chosen Workday as the new online human resources and payroll system for human capital management, payroll, talent and performance management, time reporting, and benefits.  The go-live date is December 17, 2017.

Workday is a new generation of cloud-based applications.  Texas A&M University System is replacing its legacy mainframe payroll and human resource systems with Workday.

What systems will Workday replace?

Who will use Workday?

University employees including faculty, staff, and student employees with a valid SSO logon will have access to Workday.

Will there be training for Workday?

We will post training guides and all available materials in TrainTraq or at this website for quick reference.  Training and educational opportunities will be available in fall 2017 and will be communicated through listserve, email, and this web page.

Is my information secure on Workday?

Yes.  Your information is safe whether accessed through the university’s server or another web connection. 

When I do a search, I do not get the same results as others.
