James Gee Library and its Teacher Resource Center (TRC) are opening up a new world of digital creativity for Curriculum & Instruction students, as the TRC offers possibilities for collaboration and intellectual exploration that are cutting-edge. The facility impacts the ways teachers prepare for classes and further advance the University’s reputation as a center for excellence in teacher preparation.

VariQuest Cutout Maker: The revolutionary, digital die-cut system is created specifically for teachers. The Cutout Maker will help you bring lessons to life with automatically-cut letters, numbers, manipulatives, shapes and bulletin board collections.
Perfecta™ 2400: The latest addition to the VariQuest product suite is the Perfecta™ 2400 color poster maker. The Perfecta™ is the first full-color poster design system developed exclusively for teachers. The all-inclusive Perfecta™ 2400 Plus Package contains everything needed to create beautiful, full-color posters with thousands of templates and education themed designs. An 8.5" by 11" scanner allows for any letter sized document to be instantly enlarged to a full-sized poster.

Story Time Area
The Story Time Area is a fun and functional area is created with Big Cozy Books furniture. It is a model of an ideal reading area for children that facilitates a creative learning environment.
The TRC Collections are the Juvenile & Youth Collection, the K-12 Textbook Collection and the Curriculum Collection. These collections provide a high quality selection of teaching materials and educational resources, including fiction and non-fiction children’s literature.
