About Library Media
Library Media Services serves the University community by providing equipment and educational media in support of the University curriculum. Media Services has the Libraries’ primary collection of material in non-print (audio and visual) formats. These formats include: 470+ VHS videocassettes; 1,375+ DVDs; compact audio discs, audiocassettes, and CD-ROMs. The collection is intended to support the broad range of study and research interests on campus. All Library Media transactions are conducted at the Customer Service Desk located on the 1st floor of the Gee Library. Library Media also provides space for individuals to view media in various formats.

Monday - Friday 8 AM - 9 PM
Saturday 10 AM - 4 PM
Sunday 2 PM - 9 PM
There are 4 ways to request equipment:
- Send email request to Tina Freeman .
- Call Library Media Service at 903-886-5502 by 4:00 PM one (1) day prior to the date needed.
- Stop by the Gee Library Customer Service Desk in person to order equipment.
- Complete the Media Equipment Reservation Form online and it will submit to Tina Freeman.
Gee Library offers three individual listening carrels with equipment to provide the following capabilities: AM/FM Recording, Compact Disc, Cassette, Turntable, DVD/TV and VHS/TV. These individual carrels are available on a first come first serve basis. Students, faculty, and staff may checkout the key/headphones at the Customer Service Desk.
Students, faculty, and staff may utilize VHS-DVD/ TV Setups in Gee Library. Also available for library use are audio players, audio recorders, slide viewers, phonograph record players, and CD players available on request.
Group viewing space for 2 or more (up to 12 maximum) is available on a reserve basis for VHS/DVD video viewing. These viewing spaces should be reserved in advance by current students and faculty using media equipment.
Loan Period for Audiovisual Materials
Video tapes and DVD's reserved by faculty may not be checked out for home use by students; however, students may view the DVD's and videos in the library. Faculty members may checkout videos and DVD's to evaluate for academic use or to view in their classroom. Only currently enrolled students, staff, and faculty are eligible to check out materials.
Available Media Equipment
Library Media Services has more than 80 pieces of equipment available such as digital cameras, camcorders, audio recorders, projectors and screens. Faculty and staff may request equipment to be delivered to their department office or they may pick up equipment at the Customer Service Desk located on the first floor of the Library. Students may request equipment for presentations through their instructors.Equipment available for delivery

All requests must be made 24 hours prior to use. Last minute requests will be filled based on staff, equipment and /or audiovisual materials being available.

Additional Library Media equipment is a standard 7 day checkout.
Faculty may request both media and / or equipment for longer checkouts than indicated above. All media equipment is subject to availability.
