Training Calendar

The Office of Sponsored Programs will post training events on the Training and Development Calendar where you should register to get credit on your training transcript. Please contact OSP with questions.

Dates, Times and Locations will post as the information becomes available.

Many of the trainings below can be scheduled for departments or groups upon request. Contact ORSP@tamuc.edu with such requests.

Protection of Human Subjects Training

This session provides face-to-face training for the protection of human subjects. Texas A&M University-Commerce requires all individuals conducting/participating in research projects (including faculty, staff, postdocs, research assistants and students, etc.) that involve human participants to complete training for the Protection of Human Subjects. This training replaces the online CITI and is good for 3 years. The facilitator will be Dr. Bruce Whitney, Chief Research Compliance Officer, Texas A&M University System.

Introduction to Biosafety Training

All individuals involved in the biosafety research must first complete the required compliance training Introduction to Biosafety. This includes research involving agents or materials such as cells, pathogens (human blood, tissue, and cell lines; non-human primate blood, tissue, and cell lines), recombinant DNA and RNA, select agents or any material requiring a Center for Disease Control import license or a United States Department of Agriculture permit. The facilitator will be Dr. Bruce Whitney, Chief Research Compliance Officer, Texas A&M University System.

Responsible Conduct of Research Training

This is an online training for ethics in research and scholarship. Texas A&M University-Commerce requires all individuals associated with the University, including faculty, staff and other persons, to adhere to superior standards in the conduct of all research and scholarship activities.
