Protection of Human Subjects TrainingThis session provides face-to-face training for the protection of human subjects. Texas A&M University-Commerce requires all individuals conducting/participating in research projects (including faculty, staff, postdocs, research assistants and students, etc.) that involve human participants to complete training for the Protection of Human Subjects. This training replaces the online CITI and is good for 3 years. The facilitator will be Dr. Bruce Whitney, Chief Research Compliance Officer, Texas A&M University System. |

Introduction to Biosafety TrainingAll individuals involved in the biosafety research must first complete the required compliance training Introduction to Biosafety. This includes research involving agents or materials such as cells, pathogens (human blood, tissue, and cell lines; non-human primate blood, tissue, and cell lines), recombinant DNA and RNA, select agents or any material requiring a Center for Disease Control import license or a United States Department of Agriculture permit. We will cover everything from the initial contact with our office to hitting the submit button and all the important details in between. Learn about internal deadlines, required documents, sponsor guidelines, and the approval process. This is a one hour session.
