1. Applications for status as a Global Scholar are available through ManeSync during each fall semester. Students who completed the GCAA in their freshman experience course, have earned 55 hours and maintained a 3.3 GPA will be notified in their fifth semester of enrollment at the university.

2. The QEP committee and Global Fellows will review the application, essay, and reflection documents of each student and rate using an established Rubric. Student can opt in or out of consideration for the Global Scholar travel award.

3. Based on participation and documentation, students are selected and awarded status as Global Scholar.

4. From the applicants, a maximum of 20 students are selected to receive a travel scholarship for their choice of existing travel options through the International Programs Office.

5. All students receiving a travel scholarship are expected to share their experiences during the semester following travel and are also required to assist with the spring induction banquet.

**Over $120,000 awarded in scholarships for travel since 2017 **

The students are required to complete an assessment of global competence also known as the GCAA, which serves as baseline data of entry-level global competence prior to exposure to global instruction and experiences. Students will upload the results of the GCAA into their ePortfolios, along with prompted reflections.

Beginning in the third year of the QEP (2016-2017), graduating students will be prompted to complete the GCAA again, which will serve as baseline data of exit-level global competence following exposure to global instruction and experiences.

All undergraduate students are to successfully complete at least one global course. Additional global course participation is optional, but highly recommended if the student intends to apply for Global Scholar status.

Students should also log global courses taken and enter a reflection into the ePortfolio. Global courses are identified in the Schedule of Classes with GLB, for example MGT 305 GLB/ Principles of Mgt. Below you can find a direct link to the current semester's global course offerings.

During the semester, all incoming students are to attend at least three events that are global in nature (e.g.,Multicultural Festival), log attendance into the ePortfolio, and enter a personal reflection.

Although global travel is optional in the consideration of Global Scholar status, it is highly encouraged.

Global travel should be logged into the ePortfolio along with a reflection, a pre and a post global competence assessment results.
