A list of  Economics and Finance scholarships can be found below along with each one's specific requirements. General information about applying for scholarships can be found on the Scholarships Website.

William Carroll Adams Scholarship:

Students applying for this scholarship will be enrolled in Mayo College. Upon the completion of an undergraduate economics course (Principles of Economics), students are eligible to apply for this scholarship. The award will be given at the end of the freshman or sophomore year. The application process will include an application form and an essay. PHASE II " Students eligible for this award will be classified as juniors or seniors at Texas A&M University-Commerce. They will be Economics & Finance majors and maintain a total GPA of 3.0 or better. The application process will include an application form and an essay. The Economics & Finance Department will be responsible for distribution and collection of scholarship applications.

* To be eligible for this award, the students must complete both of the undergraduate economics courses (Principles of Economics or equivalent).

* Be classified as junior, senior, or graduate students at Texas A&M University-Commerce.

* Applicants will be Economics or Finance majors and a total GPA of 3.0 or better will be preferred.

* Scholarships office will be responsible for distribution and collection of scholarship applications. The application process will include an application form and an essay.

* The scholarship award amount will be determined by the departmental selection committee based on the essay. The selection committee will include at least one senior and one junior economics faculty member.

* *Must write a Thank You Letter to the Economic Finance Department Chair*.

Lester "Bill" Stone Scholarship:

No specific criteria -- Students majoring in Economics or Finance.

Glen Gatlin Scholarship:

No specific criteria -- Students majoring in Economics or Finance.

Drs. Donald & Marcia Hakala Scholarship:

Recipient shall be a full-time student in good standing pursuing a degree from the College/Department of Economics & Finance (in accordance with University scholarship selection policies). Recipient must be a Texas (in-state) resident. Recipient shall be majoring in either Economics or Finance and classified at the junior, senior or graduate level A GPA of 3.0 overall AND in the major field of study shall be required This is a renewable scholarship; the recipient may re-apply for this scholarship annually.
