Erin Harper


Erin Harper, Ph.D., NCSP is an assistant professor in the Department of Psychology and Special Education at Texas A&M University-Commerce. Dr. Harper practiced school psychology in urban schools for eight years. Her research focuses on creating culturally and contextually specific school- and community-based systems of support for youth and families. Most of her research to date has focused on school-based preventive interventions for Black adolescent girls and school-based prevention of commercial sexual exploitation. Dr. Harper is an associate editor of School Psychology International and a member of the Journal of Educational and Psychological Consultation editorial board. She is a graduate of Spelman College and Georgia State University.
