Stephen A. Furlich, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor in the Communication Studies Program under the Department of Literature and Languages at Texas A&M University-Commerce. His Ph.D., M.A., and B.A. are all from Texas Tech University. He researches and teaches in the area of Applied Communication Studies. His areas of research interests include instructor and student communication interactions, student motivation, online class communication, interpersonal communication, nonverbal communication, and managerial communication. He has taught at Texas A&M University-Commerce the following courses: Theories of Communication, Nonverbal Communication, Gender Communication, Interpersonal Communication, Human Communication, Business & Professional Communication, Fundamentals of Communication, Leadership & Conflict, Small Group Communication, Political Communication, Intercultural Communication, Communication Research Methods & Theory, Computer Mediated Communication, Persuasion.
