The best way to learn about A&M-Commerce is to visit campus!

During your visit, you can explore our spectacular facilities, including academic buildings, the student center and residence halls. You can also meet A&M-Commerce students and learn about the numerous opportunities that are awaiting you.

Mane Event

Designed for all prospective students, our showcase provides a glimpse into the university experience. While here, you’ll tour our Morris Recreation Center, residence halls and academic buildings. Meet with current students, faculty and staff as you discover the 140+ degree programs offered here. You’ll have the opportunity to learn more about financial aid, the honors program, undergraduate admissions, Hispanic outreach, veteran and military services and much more. Afterwards, you’re invited to tailgate with current students before the football game against UT Permian Basin at our very own Memorial Stadium. And for those of you that want to experience life as a Lion be sure to pick up your free ticket to the football game! We can’t wait to see you there!

Weekday Campus Tours

Weekday Campus Tours

The best way to learn about A&M-Commerce is to visit campus!

During your visit, you can explore our spectacular facilities, including academic buildings and the student center. You can also meet A&M-Commerce students and learn about the numerous opportunities that await you. Weekday campus tours are:

  • 90-minute walking tours
  • Offered weekdays at 9:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.
  • Led by Lion Ambassadors – current students who share their individual experiences about A&M-Commerce and provide information that will help you make your college decision.

Advanced registration is required. After you schedule your visit, you will receive a confirmation email with additional details, including directions to campus and parking information.

If you are not able to visit us on campus, please enjoy our Virtual Campus Visit Experience, available upon request for prospective freshmen, transfer and graduate students . This virtual option includes a 30-minute presentation about A&M-Commerce and a 30-minute student-guided “walkthrough” of the virtual Lucky’s 360 Tour. Each Virtual Campus Visit Experience will conclude with a brief question and answer session.

Group Visits

If you are a school counselor or organization sponsor, we invite you to bring groups of students to visit A&M-Commerce virtually or in-person!

We love to welcome groups to our campus! If you’re interested in gathering online, we are too — reach out with your request, and we’ll do our best to arrange an interactive info session for your group.

Group visits typically consist of a campus tour and an admissions presentation, but we can customize the experience to meet your group’s needs. To ensure the best possible experience for your group, please email us to discuss available dates and your preferred schedule.

Scholars Preview Day is designed specifically for high-achieving prospective students who rank at the top of their class or have achieved high SAT/ACT scores.

At Scholars Preview Day, prospective students and their parents will:

  • Learn about the Honors College and application process.
  • Find out about the exciting, high-impact experiences offered in the Honors College.
  • Meet Honors College faculty and staff.
  • Virtually attend an honors course.
  • Take a brief tour of Honors College housing and a few campus sites.
  • Visit with current students who will share their experiences about life at A&M-Commerce.

You’ve applied; you’ve waited, and now you’re accepted! Join us for Admitted Student Day, and be sure to bring your family. Going to college is a major milestone, and we’re here to celebrate this moment with you!

Have you been admitted to A&M-Commerce but remain undecided about where you will attend college this fall? Please attend Admitted Students Day to ask questions and discover how A&M-Commerce could be the right fit for you. You’ve made it this far; we’re here to cheer you on!

At Admitted Students Day you can:

  • Tour residence halls and dining facilities.
  • Connect with current A&M-Commerce students.
  • Learn about scholarships, financial aid and housing.
  • Meet professors from your future academic college.

Admitted Students Day is optional and is not New Student Orientation, which is scheduled during the summer for students who have confirmed their intent to enroll.

All new undergraduate students are required to participate in New Student Orientation, an important, exciting (and mandatory) step in becoming a part of the A&M-Commerce family. Reserve your spot for New Student Orientation by logging into myLEO, clicking the “Apps” tab and selecting the “New Student Orientation” app. We look forward to meeting you on campus! Go Lions! Am I required to attend Freshman Orientation?

Yes, Freshman Orientation is mandatory for all new freshmen. You must attend orientation before you begin your first semester at A&M-Commerce. An optional program has been created for parents and families to attend if desired.

If you have completed 12 or more transferable hours after your high school graduation date, you are required to attend New Student Orientation. Sign up for one of our virtual sessions by logging into your myLeo account.

Yes, there is a $100 orientation fee for all new students that covers the cost of virtual programming platforms, staff and other administrative costs. If you receive financial aid, scholarships or other financial assistance, these may be used to cover the orientation fee.

Notes About Visiting Campus

Need something special to make your visit great?

We are committed to providing access and accommodations to our services, programs, activities, education and employment for individuals with disabilities.

Visitor Parking

If you plan to visit The McDowell Administration building, you can park for a half-hour in front of the building. If you can stay longer, go by the cashier’s window just inside the front entry of The McDowell Administration building for a complimentary visitor’s permit.

Texas Senate Bill 11 permits concealed carry of firearms in Texas A&M University-Commerce buildings only to persons who have been issued and are in possession of a texas license to carry permit. Pursuant to pc 46.035 and A&M-Commerce rule 34.06.02.r1, permit holders may not carry in restricted locations. Please observe temporary building and venue signage; to comply with state law and report violations to the university police department at 903.886.5868 or 9-1-1, view the campus procedure.
