Planetarium Presents To Space and Back and Dinosaur Passage to Pangaea

By Dr. Cheri Davis

The Texas A&M University-Commerce Planetarium is presenting To Space and Back and Dinosaur Passage to Pangaea this Friday at 7 p.m. and 8 p.m., respectively.

To Space and Back takes audiences on an incredible journey from the far reaches of our known universe to our own planet. It is an extraordinary story of human ingenuity and incredible engineering describing how the technology that transports us through space is paving the way for the devices and apps we use every day. What's happening above is coming back down to Earth!  Discover how we've been changed by space exploration, and what we owe to curiosity and the spirit of discovery.  To Space and Back will be shown through July 10.

Dinosaur Passage to Pangaea follows two children who go back in time on a geological field trip. Their adventure takes them on a journey to learn about the processes that created our present-day continents whilst riding on dinosaurs and delving into the center of the Earth. This show is a truly educational experience about the tectonic forces that formed our world.  The show will run through July 31.

Tickets are $4 for children and A&M-Commerce students with an ID, $4.50 for senior citizens and A&M-Commerce faculty and staff with an ID, and $5 for adults. Those who wish to view both shows on the same visit will receive a $1 discount on tickets for the second show.
