Ginny Haight can relate to many students in the College of Innovation and Design, since she was a non-traditional student who returned to college as a working adult with two small children. As a single mother, she worked hard to balance her career, household and coursework while also keeping up with her children's education and activities. Still, she says it was all worth it when she walked across the stage to receive her degree.
She is excited to help other non-traditional students complete their degree online with less stress and debt through the low-cost, competency-based programs offered in the College of Innovation and Design.
A Conversation with Ginny
What would you tell a student who is thinking about attending A&M-Commerce?
Do it! We have wonderful opportunities for everyone, from incoming freshmen who are straight out of high school to returning adult learners juggling careers and families. We're here to help you achieve your goals!
What do you like most about your career?
I like knowing that I'm part of something that makes a difference in peoples’ lives. There's nothing more rewarding than seeing our students succeed inside and outside the classroom. And I enjoy my job … there's always something new going on!
