Ginny Haight was a non-traditional student who returned to college as a working adult with two small children. As a single mother, she worked hard to balance her career, household and coursework while keeping up with her children’s education and activities. Still, she says it was all worth it when she walked across the stage to receive her degree. Today, Ginny enjoys working at A&M-Commerce where she can help make a difference in people's lives.

How I Can Help You

I am part of the team that supports the provost and senior vice provost. We manage correspondence, finances, meetings, personnel processes and much more. We do the behind-the-scenes work so that Drs. Vacha-Haase and Dobbs can focus on making the university the best it can be for our students.

A Conversation with Ginny

What would you tell a student who is thinking about attending A&M-Commerce?

Do it! We have wonderful opportunities for everyone, from incoming freshmen who are straight out of high school to returning adult learners juggling careers and families. We’re here to help you achieve your goals!

What do you like most about your career?

I like knowing that I’m part of something that makes a difference in peoples' lives. There’s nothing more rewarding than seeing our students succeed inside and outside of the classroom. And I enjoy my job…there's never a dull day!
