John F. Kennedy once said, “Leadership and learning are indispensable to each other.” Students in the Agriculture Leadership and Communications emphasis will be prepared to enter a broad array of careers in the public or private sectors at the local, regional, state, or national levels. The multi-disciplinary curriculum emphasizes the development of authentic leadership, communication skills, diversity, critical thinking and professionalism, rooted in a comprehensive foundation in agricultural sciences. Students completing this emphasis can learn the skills necessary to be able to bridge the gap between agriculture and critical stakeholders.
