After graduating in December I was fortunate to gain a position with Merrill Lynch as a Client Associate. In this job, I use what I learned at A&M-Commerce every day. Being on the retail side of the finance industry means that I have to know and understand many of the financial products, investments, and strategies out there. This is especially important when I am assisting a client or speaking with other financial professionals in the field. I am constantly referring back to what I learned in my finance classes, especially Dr. Kurtay Ogunc’s and Dr. Srinivas Nippani’s. It really makes all the hard work over the years feel worth it. One thing is for sure, my education in finance has not stopped by any means. However, my time at A&M-Commerce allowed me to build a solid foundation for the start of my new career.
