Christian F. Hempelmann, Ph.D., is Director of the OSTL and Associate Professor of Computational Linguistics in the Department of Literature & Languages.

 

Co-Director

Max Petrenko, Ph.D., is Senior Information Architect at Thermo-Fisher Scientific and has been publishing in ontology engineering, computational lexicology/semantics, and humor research.

Students

Divya Solomon, M.Sc., was Graduate Research Assistant and M.A. student in the Computational Science Program. She worked on the Weapons Identification Program.

Sarvenaz Balali, M.A., is Graduate Research Assistant and Ph.D. student in the Linguistics Program of the Department of Literature and Languages. She is working on the project researching the Lexical Field of LAUGH in Kesey’s One Flew over the Cuckoo’s Nest.

Masoumeh Razzaghi, M.A., is Graduate Research Assistant and Ph.D. student in the Linguistics Program of the Department of Literature and Languages. 

Sihoon Lee, M.A., is Graduate Research Assistant and Ph.D. student in the Linguistics Program of the Department of Literature and Languages. 

Gaurav Pathak, M.A., is a graduate student majoring in Business Analytics 
with a M.A in Computational Science. Gaurav works at Student Health Services-TAMUC as an EMR/Application Analyst.

Jason Osei, M.A., is an M.A. student in Literature and Languages with a Certificate in Computational Linguistics .

Samantha Borum, M.A., is an M.A. student in General Linguistics with a Certificate in Computational Linguistics from San Diego State University.

Victor Raskin, Ph.D., is Distinguished Professor of Linguistics, Founder and Chair of the Interdisciplinary Program in Linguistics, Professor of Computer Science (Courtesy Appointment), Founder and Coordinator of Natural Language Processing Laboratory, Charter Director of Center for Education and Research in Information Assurance and Security (CERIAS) at Purdue University.

Tristan Miller, Ph.D., is Research Scientist at the Ubiquitous Knowledge Processing Lab of Technische Universität Darmstadt in Germany.

Courtney Falk, Ph.D, is the Senior Research Scientist for the Optiv Global Threat Intelligence Center. Courtney works on applications of ontologies to information security problems.
