Texas A&M University-Commerce has established a new minimum overall GPA of 2.75 for both the undergraduate and AMTRAC alternative certification programs.
Undergraduate students applying for internship/residency for fall 2014 must satisfy the new minimum GPA of 2.75. All new applicants for the AMTRAC program must meet the 2.75 for full admission to the program. (see specific program web site for additional information)

Texas A&M University-Commerce offers a broad selection of educator certification programs approved by the Texas Education Agency. Students may earn their initial teaching certificate as an undergraduate or a graduate. Professional certifications are available through several graduate programs administered by departments within the College of Education and Human Services. A unified system of records for all teacher education candidates is maintained in the Center for Educator Certification and Academic Services (CECAS). The Center processes all applications for certification and is available to answer questions concerning certification requirements and procedures. Office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. CECAS is located in Young Education North Building, Room 202.
