A&M-Commerce Top 10% Day
The Texas A&M University-Commerce Office of Undergraduate Admissions welcomed over 50 high school seniors to campus to take part in Top 10% Day in October. Top 10% Day gives students at the top of their class a chance to learn about scholarships, financial aid and everything A&M-Commerce has to offer by spending the day touring campus.
“We were so excited with this year's group of attendees,” said Dr. Hattie Powell, associate director of undergraduate admissions. “We had the largest group in attendance in the four years since we've had this program on campus.”
Twenty-one local high schools participated this year, giving students the opportunity to attend a mock Honors College class and a campus tour. Attendees also had the chance to speak with current A&M-Commerce students about life on campus and learn more about the different departments at the university such as Residential Living and Learning, Hispanic Outreach and Campus Life.
Another Top 10% Day is being planned for later in the semester. For more information about the event, contact Dali Hatanville, senior admissions recruiter, at [email protected].
