Darci Penny Academic Advisor
- Staff
Originally from Michigan, and now a proud Texan, Darci Penny was the first person in her family to attend college, diving into the world of computer science at the College of Santa Fe, now Santa Fe University. During college, Darci’s career began with a role as a student worker at Kirtland Air Force Base in Albuquerque, New Mexico, which led to positions at the Air Force Weapons Laboratory, DOE National Non-Proliferation Security Institute and Sandia National Laboratories.
Her move to Texas was driven by her daughter’s educational pursuits, leading Darci to a career change in the form of academic advising at A&M-Commerce. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, her dog and indulging in music, especially when with her granddaughter. Darci looks forward to earning her masters and Ph.D. degrees to teach and share her love for computer science with others.
