A Conversation with Haomei

How do you help students?

I help students mainly through cooperation and encouragement. Their writing project is based on our individual discussion and confirmation step by step.

What is your teaching philosophy?

My teaching goal is to encourage students to read critically and explore themselves in a situated culture or community through writing. To achieve these two goals, I adopt both minimum and maximum instructions. Minimum means I avoid long lectures to explain concepts in detail. Usually, my lecture is within 15 minutes. Then I lead students to do some hands-on practices, encourage them to make mistakes, and we fix problems together
