Financial Aid and Scholarships
The Chemistry Department awards several prizes and scholarships each year. These awards are:
- Denis Quane Memorial Scholarship (for freshman chemistry)
- Charles S. Rohrer Outstanding Organic Chemistry Student Scholarship
- Charles S. Rohrer Outstanding Physical Chemistry Student Scholarship
In addition to those listed above, there are scholarships for a pre-medical student and a number of Robert A. Welch Foundation Fellowships available. Each year the faculty choose an Outstanding Senior Chemistry Major, and the Dallas-Fort Worth Section of the ACS gives an award to each school in the section.
