Alex Shillow Named CoSIDA Academic All-District

Lion Football safety Alex Shillow was named to the Second Team Academic All-America® by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). According to the program's website, the Academic All-America Team honors “outstanding academic and athletic achievement by student-athletes throughout the landscape of college sports…” Shillow is only the 16th Academic All-America honoree in A&M-Commerce history. He was named to the President’s List four times, Dean’s List two times and LSC Commissioner’s Honor Roll six times. Additionally, he was a two-time D2-ADA Academic Achievement Award winner. Shillow earned his bachelor’s degree in sports management in August. Read the full article.
