A&M-Commerce Alum to Lead Percussion Ensemble at Prestigious Conference
The North Forney (Texas) High School Percussion Ensemble, led by A&M-Commerce alum Jim Gist, has been invited to perform at the 74th Midwest Clinic in Chicago, one of the largest band and orchestra conferences in the country. The conference is set for December 16-19 in Chicago. Gist earned a Master of Percussion Performance at A&M-Commerce. He is assistant band director and percussion instructor at North Forney High School.
